It’s not often that vacant beach side blocks are made available in the world famous beach town of Byron Bay. Happy Haus was selected as the design and building partner to ensure the client was able to meet both their design brief and the specific planning code set out for the block.

The basis of the design was the OVP White Series. The design team worked to reconfigure the existing plans to allow the owner to construct a home with three individual living areas. Both the upper and lower levels consist of two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, open plan living and dining rooms and front and rear outdoor rooms to ensure that the home could cater to any make up of visitors and any weather conditions.

A large part of the brief was to incorporate and highlight the fabulous location, with the home positioned in an elevated position to capture the amazing ocean and lighthouse views from the upper floors.

Part of the challenge in this particular project was working with the relevant local authorities to ensure the property met both the estate covenant and the local council guidelines. Happy Haus acted as project manager through all stages of the program, helping the client to complete the project in a far reduced construction and installation time frame.
